A small, independent effort studying communities, systems, and local life — through open scholarship and public data. We grew out of a neighborhood project, and that community spirit still shapes the work.

Open data, done carefully
We build custodial tools that find, capture, and organize open-access scholarship and public data losslessly — keeping every source verbatim and traceable, and grading findings by the strength of their evidence. The research and an interactive data studio are open to explore.

Community Game started as @ Floridian Sandalwood — a free, volunteer-run neighborhood gathering with midweek movies and a community kitchen, funded by donated petty cash and open to all. That program has since wound down, but its ethos still guides everything we do:
